Communication Strategy
Insight
Students are not aware of student club events and engagement outside of class is low.
Solution
Create a communication strategy that includes Facebook and email newsletters to ensure students are aware of events happening at school, around campus and around Cleveland.

Process
In order to create streamlined communication among all student clubs, I created email templates in Mailchimp along with email aliases for each club. This was used to communicate club events to the students. The Facebook page was used to update students about events, send out reminders and share photos during and after events took place. Bi-weekly email newsletters were created to cut down on the number of emails that were sent to students while increasing the clarity of information in a one-stop-shop format.
Results
Our Facebook community doubled within the first couple of weeks and engagement stayed strong throughout the year. Posts with pictures of students were most successful as they became shareable memories with their friends. According to our survey to students, their preferred method of communication was email newsletters and they were well-informed about events as a result of our new communication strategy.
